Bryson Barnes is a New York-based audio post-production professional and composer who has done audio engineering, sound design, music composition and music supervision for feature films, award-winning shorts and commercial content for clients including Vice, YouTube and WAMC. As a performer, Bryson has toured Eastern Europe with jazz trio Arctica, been featured at the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival, and played trumpet with hip hop luminaries Slick Rick and Big Daddy Kane. As an educator, Bryson has held adjunct and graduate lecturer positions at Skidmore College, McGill University and New York University. He holds degrees in Jazz Performance from the University of Miami (B.M.) and McGill University (M.M.) where he was a Schulich Fellow, and an additional master’s in Composition from NYU. In 2015 he was a recipient of ASCAP’s Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer Award.
